Youth Professions of Faith & Baptism
August has been a great month for the Lord's work in our community and presence at our church. Four students from the youth group have come to know Jesus and have made their public professions of faith. They have requested baptism and that will take place on Sunday, September 7th! Come celebrate with these young men and their families! All Glory to God!
Sanctuary Renovation is Underway - Roof and Steeple!
It's an exciting for our church family! Work is beginning on the sanctuary roof and steeple. Please be cautious around the work area. Thank you to the Sanctuary Committee for all your efforts and church members for your support of this project.
Online Giving via Tithe.LY
You can now give your tithes and offerings via Tithe.LY online or using the Tithe.LY app. Information will be provided in the Sunday morning worship service bulletin and overhead slides, or you can go to the "Online Giving" link above. You can use a debit or credit card or link directly to your bank account. A small fees apply to each transaction, however fees are lower when linking directly to your bank account. You can choose to cover the fees or not. You can designate your gift to one of three funds - General Fund, Sanctuary Fund or Memorial Fund. Card Writing Ministry - September 2
Looking for a meaningful way to serve? Join the group for card writing! Contact the church office or Dominga Guerra for more information. The group will meet on Tuesday, September 2, at 11:00 am in the Family Life Center.
Monthly Pot Luck Supper - September 3
Fix your favorite dish or pick-up some prepared food and come enjoy a meal and fellowship together. Wednesday, September 3, from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
Week of Prayer - Mary Hill Davis State Missions Program - September 14-21
A week of prayer for the Mary Hill Davis State Mission Programs and offering.
Business Meeting - September 17
The business meeting will be on Wednesday, September 17, during the regular Bible study and prayer time. It is a time to conduct the business of the church.
Senior Social - September 19
On Friday, September 19, the seniors will meet at the Family Life Center and leave at 9:00 am to travel to the Rockport Market. All are invited to participate. Contact Oscar or Dominga Guerra, or call the church office for more information.
Men's Prayer Breakfast - September 20
Men will meet in the Family Life Center on Saturday, September 20, at 9:00 am for a great, free breakfast and time in fellowship together. All are invited to participate.
Food Pantry - September 26 & 27
On Friday, September 26, we'll need volunteers to sort the food and prepare boxes beginning at 8:00 am, and on Saturday, September 27, we'll begin distributing boxes at 8:00 am. Contact Tami Pfluger in the church office or Oscar Guerra at 361-244-0450 for more information. Our church will host the Food Pantry distribution in August, September, October and November.
There is a food collection box in the Family Life Center lobby. If you are able to donate any non-perishable food items, please do; the food will be distributed to the over 70 families (~180 people) who come for assistance in the food pantry program each month.

Get involved in serving your church. We are filling church committees now - Building & Grounds, Children's, Youth, Kitchen, Men's, Women's, etc. Contact the church office for more information.
Seeking Volunteers
We are always welcoming volunteers to our various programs. Whether its assisting in the pre-school Sunday School class, rocking babies in the nursery, serving on a church committee, card writing, assisting seniors, coordinating youth activities, or working with technology (presentations, online streaming, sound systems, website, social media), we can use your help.
